Wedding Decor – Beautiful garden wedding
Inspiration from Southern Accents
You can never go wrong with blue, white and yellow. It’s always fashionable and stylish.
Wedding Cake – Fluffy and Delicate
Inspiration from Yummy Cake Company
Love the feathers and love the butterflies. If you’re going to be baking your own cake this is perfect. It’s pretty straight forward, add some ribbons, feathers and some butterflies. You can normally find feathers at most fabric stores or haberdasheries for about R10 to R20 per packet. I’m still looking at ways to incorporate feathers into my day. Some white, soft and fluffy feathers will be perfect for our Winter Wonderland themed wedding.
Wedding Chapel – Fit for Royalty
Inspiration from Classy Wedding Ideas
This is so elegant and stunning compared to the usual red carpet. If I had any extra money to spare then this is what my chapel would look like. Alas though, every spare cent I have is already allocated to something else.
Wedding Colours – Clean White
Inspiration from Panache Hire
This is so cute and should be easy enough to do yourself. Would be great for a picnic or garden wedding. And you could even carry the theme through to the table centerpieces.
DIY Wedding Centerpiece – Romantic Winter Wedding

Inspiration from Nettleton Hollow
This is very similar to what I have planned for my own wedding. As you’re all probably aware I’m getting married in August which is pretty cold here in South Africa so I’m going with a Winter Wonderland Theme. We’ll be doing most of it ourselves and this makes for a pretty easy, yet stunning, DIY centerpiece. For my wedding however we won’t be hanging the glass baubles with candles in them. I know that you can rent those baubles if you want to do something similar as a friend of mine used them for her wedding. I also bought some of those baubles from @Home just after Christmas when most of their Christmas stock was on sale. We are looking at hanging either crystals from the branches or glittery fake snowflakes. I’m also using crackle glass vases which I’m hoping will catch the light from the candles and add to the icy winter effect we’re aiming for. If all goes well we’re planning on having our ceremony in the evening after sunset. We’ll have small bonfires just outside of the chapel and the back wall of the chapel lined with various candles. I’m not keen on renting candle holders as this can cost quite a bit so I’m asking everybody I know to borrow whatever candle stick holders they have. I think it will create a beautifull effect as all the candles will be of varying lengths and sizes, and will add a lot of warmth to a cold night. And it also helps that candle light always manages to add a touch of romance.
